FUTURE BRIEF POLL RESULTS:
The following questions were submitted by Future Brief readers. The poll itself, given to a group of more than 2000 people, was conducted by Zogby International, an opinion research firm, on December 15-16, 2005.
QUESTION: If a deadly pandemic flu reaches the US and there is not nearly enough vaccine for everybody, who do you think should receive priority for vaccinations?
RESULTS:*
-Those at greatest risk (senior citizens, handicapped, etc.): 34%
-The young: 19%
-The most useful people (doctors, police, farmers, etc.): 26%
-Government and community leaders: 1%
-Lotteries should be held and everybody should have a chance to receive vaccine: 9%
-Those who can afford to pay: 2%
Not sure/other: 8%
