FUTURE BRIEF POLL RESULTS:

The following questions were submitted by Future Brief readers. The poll itself, given to a group of more than 2000 people, was conducted by Zogby International, an opinion research firm, on December 15-16, 2005. Learn more about the polling and how you can submit questions.

QUESTION: How worried are you about the changes that science and technology will bring in the next 10 years?

RESULTS:*

-Very worried: 4%

-Somewhat worried: 21%

-Not very worried: 46%

-Not at all worried: 29%

-Not sure: 1%

*Due to rounding, percentages may add up to over 100%. Margin of error is +/- 2.2%

Overall, 25% of respondants are worried, to some extent, about the changes that science and technology will bring in the next 10 years. 75% are either not very worried or not at all worried about the changes the science and technology will bring.
